Celebrate Know Your Watershed Week with us at Woolman!

The first annual Know Your Watershed Week, April 28 -May 6, 2018, will celebrate the Yuba, Bear and American River watersheds with many activities including school programs, hikes, restoration activities, bioblitzes, poetry, a run, and more throughout the three watersheds.

Sierra Streams’ Citizen Science Open House!

Come learn a bit about the watershed you live in and peruse a Silent Auction! 

Join us at our new Sierra Streams Institute for Environmental and Citizen Science to Build an Insect AND complete a healthy watershed Scavenger Hunt! All funds from the silent auction will go towards further development of the Sierra Streams Institute for Environmental and Citizen Science.

The Salmon Run 

Enjoy a 10K race along the Yuba!

 

Participants will enjoy incredible views, wildflowers, and challenging, diverse terrain. The event raises funds for environmental education at the Sierra Friends Center. Upon completion, participants will enjoy brunch, silent auction, awards ceremony, Sierra Streams Institute open house and family activities. Donation based childcare with environmental activities will be provided by Sierra Streams Institute during the race.
