Laney Smith

Laney grew up traveling to various locations throughout northern and southern California while living in Sacramento. Traveling brought immense curiosity into Laney’s life as she began to become intrigued with the beauty of the natural world. Currently Laney is a Student at California State University Sacramento where she is pursuing a B.S. in Environmental Studies. She spends her free time backpacking, bouldering, surfing, running, and hiking which have all led her to appreciate the beauty of the outdoors and pursue a career researching the fascinations of the environment. Laney is beyond excited to be a BMI Lab Technician with SSI where she can continue to pursue her passion of discovering the natural world!
